DANGEROUS | FIT TO LEAD

Batterer Intervention Program

28 Required Intervention Sessions | Scripture-Saturated | Behavioral Accountability | Online via Zoom

CONTROL IS NOT HEADSHIP. ABUSE IS A CHOICE.

Domestic violence is not simply an anger problem, a communication problem, or a marriage problem. It involves destructive choices, coercion, intimidation, manipulation, and control.

And no man gets to excuse those choices by blaming his wife, his childhood, his circumstances, or his temper.

Cross Strength Ministries developed DANGEROUS | Fit to Lead to confront abusive behavior through biblical truth, structured intervention, and personal accountability.

Combining the intervention foundation of Fit to Lead with DANGEROUS: A 40-Day Men’s Devotional by Pastor David Ashley, the curriculum challenges men to examine not merely what they have done, but what they believed, desired, and intended when they did it.

What the Program Addresses

  • Physical, verbal, emotional, sexual, financial, and spiritual abuse
  • Coercive control, intimidation, manipulation, and threats
  • Entitlement, blame-shifting, minimization, and deception
  • Biblical headship versus domination
  • Personal responsibility, genuine repentance, and behavioral change
  • Respect for victims’ safety, autonomy, and boundaries

How the Program Works

DANGEROUS | Fit to Lead requires 28 intervention sessions, completion of assigned reading, written work, behavioral exercises, and facilitator-reviewed accountability.

The program is conducted online through Zoom, with individualized instructional pacing according to the participant’s demonstrated understanding and progress.

Twenty-eight sessions do not necessarily mean twenty-eight calendar weeks. The actual duration depends on the participant’s progress and any applicable legal or court requirements.

Enrollment and Court-Ordered Participants

Enrollment begins with an intake, assessment, and suitability determination.

Court-ordered participants must provide the necessary documentation before acceptance. Whether the program satisfies a particular court order depends on the requirements and approvals of that jurisdiction.

Completion is not automatic. Attendance, payment, or religious profession alone does not establish repentance or behavioral change.

Participation does not guarantee reconciliation, restoration of trust, custody or parenting-time outcomes, or relief from legal obligations.

Training Curricula for Churches and Christian Ministries

Cross Strength Ministries also develops biblical intervention, victim-services, parenting, and discipleship curricula for churches, Christian schools, and faith-based organizations.

Our objective is to equip institutions with sound instructional resources and appropriate accountability frameworks so they can minister effectively in their own communities.

Institutional curriculum, licensing, and implementation inquiries are welcome. Any legally required program or provider approvals remain the responsibility of the relevant jurisdiction and participating organization.
